Following off cycle elections in Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey and Virginia, CAWP announces that new officeholder and race data for 2024 is now available for all three levels of office.

Race data for new officeholders as of the 2022 elections is now available at the state legislative level.
2023 Women Officeholder Data
After a record breaking year for women candidates, CAWP announces that officeholder data for 2023 is now available for all three levels of office. Race data is available for congressional and statewide elective executive officeholders and state legislators will be added in the coming months.
2022 Women Officeholder Data
Following off cycle elections in New Jersey and Virginia, CAWP announces that officeholder data for 2022 is now available for all three levels of office.
Race and Ethnicity Reporting
In our new reporting, women who self-identify as more than one race/ethnicity are included in each group with which they identify. Women who identify as only multiracial will be counted in "Multiracial Alone".

Historical State Legislative Data Added
State Legislative data now includes women who held office from 1895 to present.
